The YP Awards


Join Pine Belt Young Professionals for a seriously unserious awards night. The YP Awards will bring young (and not-so-young) professionals together for an evening of fun and recognition. Attendees will enjoy dinner, live music and a celebration of up-and-coming young professionals in our community. 


The YP Awards will take place Thursday, May 16 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Hattiesburg Train Depot. Tickets are $30 each, $50 a couple or $300 for a corporate table of 10. Tickets are now available HERE.

The Awards

Six awards will be presented: Three to young professionals, and three to business leaders who have mentored young professionals. Click the name of the award to nominate yourself or a colleague. You may nominate as many people as you would like! The nomination deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019.


The Community Service Award will be given to any young professional currently living or working in Greater Hattiesburg who has made significant contributions to the community through civic engagement, board or committee work, and/or involvement with charitable organizations.


The Professional Promise Award will be given to a current member of Pine Belt Young Professionals who demonstrates noteworthy professional achievement, leadership, and a commitment to bettering Greater Hattiesburg.


The Stewardship Award will be given to three individuals who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of one or more young professionals’ careers in Greater Hattiesburg. Recipients of this award inspire and encourage young professionals through their mentorship and leadership.


The Newcomer Award will be given to a current member of Pine Belt Young Professionals who exemplifies exceptional enthusiasm, boldness, attends events regularly and has gone above and beyond for PBYP.
